The Application
One of India’s highest-volume passenger-vehicle manufacturing floors, running a 500-trolley fleet carrying 900 kg to 1 tonne of material per trolley across an epoxy-coated shop floor.
The Challenge
A single wrong wheel specification was producing four simultaneous problems at once: high push-pull effort on every move, visible epoxy floor marking, stiff swivel response that slowed turning in tight areas, and a six-month castor life that kept replacement spend on a recurring cycle.
The Muvtons Solution
Muvtons diagnosed all four symptoms back to one root cause and specified an SFS point-contact tread (GHK-RD Series) engineered to stop epoxy marking and cut rolling resistance in a single design decision. The castors were direct-fit to the plant’s existing 60/120 mm bolt-hole centres, so the full 500-trolley fleet converted with zero drilling and zero line stoppage.
